Sisters Talk About Race (STAR)

We are here to activate the specific contributions that each of us are capable of making to end racism and create equality in the world.  We cannot afford to respond with indifference, apathy or inaction or to let confusion overwhelm us. Nor can we respond with unfettered, reactive or misdirected activity. Through STAR, we are committed to causing a profound transformation through collective energy that makes a powerful difference in the world, for millions of individuals by starting with ourselves. We are dedicated to expanding our measure and light in the world through the reflections, confrontations, and commitment to community.

We are hosting two yearlong programs in 2021. The STARPower Academy serves as a forum for continued dialogue, education and collective action so that we all can have more and better conversations about race and social justice in our communities—as well as engage in social change. The STARBuilding Wealth Program is dedicated to helping women achieve their financial goals through debt elimination and employing wealth accumulation strategies.
